Twiggs Grounds Maintenance established in 2007, began as a small, family-run business focused on domestic grounds maintenance. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted name in the community, known for delivering high-quality maintenance services across a wide range of sectors all while keeping that family run feel.
Our History
In 2007 the company began with the current director going around in a van doing primary garden grounds maintenance. As we got a bigger and bigger workload we needed extra hands to keep up with the demands and since then we’ve continued to recruit to our teams. Our teams have vast knowledge and experience in what benefits the environment, we strive for a cleaner and greener community. We hold an Upper Tier Waste Carriers Licence, even our Waste Transfer Centre operates within ISO 14001 for Environmental Management and strives for zero to landfill. We are Fully insured, CHAS Accredited and meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
From our beginnings as purely grounds maintenance, we expanded to secure community volunteer support contracts across the Dearne, Central, Penistone, North, and South areas of Barnsley. Supporting local volunteers has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’ve always been proud to contribute to improving our shared spaces.
Where We Are Now
As we expanded out into community contracts, we continued to build on our private grounds maintenance teams. Due to this we now have strong relationships with over 40 schools and businesses, including Barnsley College, Barnsley Premier Leisure, and numerous other organisations across South Yorkshire. Alongside this we continue to provide our service to many domestic clients across Barnsley, some new and some who have been with our company for several years now. Our team provides reliable, professional grounds maintenance tailored to the unique needs of each client.
